Yarnballs are polar plots representing 24-hour clocks that measure distance from home at each minute of the day. Each day is a thread of yarn laid around it to track the movements of that day.
Data
- Google Timeline location history, plus old Moves app exports
- Short gaps bridged, long stays filled in, otherwise uncleaned
- Expect some gaps and chunkiness, especially in earlier years, when phone GPS was less reliable and apps sampled less often
